Composition:

Each 10 ml contains:
Zinc Sulphate……………………………………..10 mg
Naphazoline hydrochloride………………….10 mg
Diphenyhydramine hydrochloride…………10mg
Methylene blue………………………………….0.3 mg

Properties:

Ocumethyl eye drops formula:

  • Has an extra ingredient to clear away mucu buildup and relieve itching associated with exposure to airborne allergens
  • Immediately removes redness
  • Mositurzies irritated eyes

Ocumethyl eye drops contains an ocular astringent (zinc sulphate) that precipitates the sticky mucus buildup on the eye often associated with exposure to airborne allergens, which helps clear the mucus from the outer surface of the eye.
It also contains Diphenhydramine which is an antihistamine, it is used for the symptomatic relief of allergic conditions including conjunctivitis (allergic conjunctivitis is a type one hypersensitivity reaction). It is usually seasonal  but perennial attacks due to allergens such as house dust mites can occur. Itching, tears and burning are common symptoms and rhinitis will co-exist.
Methylene blue is an antiseptic dye.

Indications:

For the temporary relief of redness due to minor eye irritation and for protection against further irritation or dryness of the eye.

Dosage and Administration:

Instill 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye(s) up to four times daily.

Warnings:

To avoid contamination, do not touch tip of container to any surface. Replace cap after using.
If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
Not to be used in case of glaucoma.

Pack contains dropper bottle of 10 ml.

Storage:

Store at room temperature.
