Description
Properties/Actions
Clinical studies indicate that PMC has a remarkable therapeutic value for patients suffering from liver diseases with elevated transaminases. Treatment with PMC shows substantial improvement in liver function as evidenced by a significant reduction in serum ALT levels. Serum AST levels are also lowered by long-term treatment with Pennel. This is associated with an improvement of the general health and most symptoms of liver diseases.
Contents of garlic oil, particularly E-ajoene, have shown broad activity agaisnt several DNA and RNA viruses. Garlic oil contains other organosulfur compounds inlcuding diallyl disulfide. These compounds are known hepatoprotective agents. Also, organosulfur compounds suppress inducible levels of cytochrome 2E1; which is responsible for the bioactivation of a wide variety of hepatotoxins and generation of deletrious oxyradicals.
In addition, organosulfur compounds enhance phase II enzymes such as glutathione S-transferases, UDP-glucoronyl transferase and microsomal episode hydrolase activities which are essential for hepatic detoxification processes. Furthermore, organosulfur compounds in garlic oil enhance the activity of glutathione reductase and superoxide dismutase (anti-oxidant enzymes).
Pennel has a new and unique formula that enhances bioavailability without any toxicity for liver cells. This properly makes Pennel safe for long-term therapy. The synergestic effects of Pennel, from their separate mechanisms of action, make the product very effecient in supporting the liver and delaying liver deterioration.
