A high potency neurotropic analgesic with vitamins B1, B6, ,and B12 combined.
Properties/Actions
Neurovit sugar coated tablets contain a balanced high dose combination of vitamins B1, B6, and B12 which exerts remarkable analgesic and neurotropic actions.
Thiamine is needed for decarboxylation of keto acids, hence it is important in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats. Severe affliction of the cetnral nervous system is evidenced in beriberi, Wernicke's Syndrome, and Korsakoff's psychosis which are believed to occur secondary to vitamin B1 deficiency.
Pyridoxine is involved in the metabloism of amino acids and is an essential part of the enzyme glycogen phosphorylase. Deficiency of vtiamin B6 leads to anorexia, lassitude, painful disabling polyneuropathy, glossitis, pellagra-like sking lesions and increased urinary oxalate excretion (predisposing to stone fomartion). Also, there is evidence that pregnant women develop vitamin B6 deficiency and that supplementation may be of value in relieving the nausea during pregnancy.
Vitamin B12 is essential for the function of all cells, but particulary for cells of the central nervous system, the bone marrow, and the gastrointestinal tract. It is of the greatest importance in nucleic acid and folic acid metabolism. Deficiency of vitamin B12 in the body leads to severe central and peripheral nervous system afflictions and pernicious anemia.
Neurovit offers a balanced combination of essential members of the vitamin B complex that serves to keep the intgerity of the nervous system and combat various forms of asthenia. The sugar-coated tablet presentation is a special formulation which allows greater stability of the vitamins and at the same time disgusises its poor taste.
