Each 100 ml contains:
Naphazoline hydrochloride....................50 mg
Chlorpheniramine maleate...................50 mg

Description
Decongestant and antiallergic
Properties/Actions
Prisoline produces a rapid and prolonged decongestion of the nasal mucosa and conjunctiva and provides marked relief of excessive lacrimation, photophobia, repeated sneezing, rhinorrhoea and other symptoms of allergy or irritation of the nose and/or eye.
The effects produced by Prisoline are due to the combined action by naphazoline hydrochloride, the sympathomimetic with pronounced vasoconstrictior effect and chlorpheniramine maleate, the potent antihistamine which has also a local anesthetic action.
Indications
  • Nasal Indications:
    • Allergic and vasomotor rhinitis.
    • As decongestant in common cold, influenza, sinusitis, otitis media, etc...
  • Ophthalmic indications:
    • Allergic conjunctivitis and kerato conjunctivitis of all types.
  • Irritation of the nose and and/or eye by dust, vapors, chemicals, water, (e.g. chlorinated water in swimming pools).
Contraindications
Narrow angle glaucoma.
Drug Interactions
Side Effects/Adverse Effects
Uncommon and may occur in some patients in the form of mild transient stinging and dilation of the pupil, esepcially with frequent application during the day.
Pregnancy & Lactation
Dosage & Administration
Adults and children 6 years and over.
  • As eye drops: 1-2 drops every 3-6 hours.
  • As nasal drops: 2 drops in each nostril every 3-6 hours.
Children below 6 years:
  • Dosage to be determined only by or on the prescription of a physician.
